Bullet points remain on the wall in Ile de la Cité the historic centre of Paris, from back in August 1944 when France and its allies fought to remove the German Army of occupation in the dying days in the Second World War. The marks of bullet holes in the Paris walls that remain remind us of the tragic consequences of military invasion and occupation by a foreign country. Paris, France
