"Victor Spinetti in an untypical serious moment. I had been photographing the Welsh actor in Leicester Square, in the small park in the centre 'Victor Spinetti's garden' he tells me, because it was so close to where he lived and also indeed where much of his theatre career had taken place in this area, in the middle of theatre land. We had to work quite quickly because he needed time to get a birthday present for his great friend and fellow actor Barbara Windsor who he was seeing later that day. However, now the photography assignment was satisfactorily complete he seemed to have plenty of time to chat in the nearby café. Listening to Victor talk was one of the most entertaining experience."
