Buffy Sainte-Marie, singer songwriter, performing at the Union Chapel, a performance for which she with her band received a standing ovation. Buffy Sainte-Marie born on a Cree reservation in Saskatchewan, campaigns for native American issues. However she is perhaps best known for her anti-war protest songs in the sixties. In addition to her successful carer as a performer, musician and composer, her songs have been covered by major artists, Academy Award-winning film song and her own recordings, she is also a visual artist and educator.
