Albert Kuvezin / Yat-Kha
Albert Kuvezin with his band Yat-Kha performing at Queen Elizabeth Hall, in Patti Smith’s curated Meltdown series of programmes. Albert Kuvezin, plays the guitar and the yat-kha, a form of zither and sings in a deep contra-bass style of Tuvan kargyraa throat singing, which he calls kanzat kargyraa rooted in the music of the mountainous tribes of his ancestors from southern Siberia.
