Michael Culver (1938 - 2024), actor and peace campaigner with his partner, Amanda Ward sculptor and artist looking at Richard Wolff’s photographic prints of Brian Haw the peace activist. They are at the 'cafe in the crypt' of St Martin-in-the-Fields. Trafalgar Square, London, UK. 13/04/2017, eminent actor and committed peace campaigner, who is remembered by fans of the Star Wars film saga for playing Captain Needa in, “The Empire Strikes Back”. He played a major part in, the David Lean film, “A Passage to India” as an intolerant police inspector. He is also known for his theatre stage work and by television viewers for his roles including, Major Erwin Brandt in the 1970s BBC drama Secret Army; and he played the Prior Robert, in the television series, Cadfael. Stage work includes playing Sir William MacPherson in "The Colour of Justice" at the Tricycle Theatre.
