Lloyd Scott as St George, charity fundraiser, displaying his 100lb suit of armour, that he will be wearing for the Flora London Marathon race 2006, he will be pulling 200 lb dragon not present in the photograph. Lloyd Scott aims to break his own world record for the 'slowest marathon time in over eight days. Additionally, as part of 'Team Sir Steve Redgrave' they achieve another type of record, the world fundraising record of £1.8 million. Scott chose his latest costume to mark St George's Day, which falls on marathon Sunday 23rd April 06. Scott is a former fire fighter and professional footballer, he began taking on numerous eccentric but extremely demanding charity fundraising challenges after he survived leukaemia in the late 1980s. He is accompanied by actor, Suranne Jones for the photograph to help set the scene dressed in the flowing robes of a damsel in distress. River Thames and Tower Bridge in the background.
