Campaigners stand up for Julian Assange in front of the doorway to Australia House. Banners read “Australia Stand up for Julian Assange” and “Free Julian Assange UK Political Prisoner”. Placards read “Don’t Extradite Assange, Journalism is not a crime”, “Honk 4 Assange Freedom”, “Stop Killing Julian Assange”. Julian Assange is an Australian hero, a journalist who has exposed war crimes with News Papers, journals and other news outlets that have been left untouched by the law (so far). He has been abandoned by his own Government, while being subjected to show trials and imprisoned in Belmarsh in cruel inhuman conditions. He is waiting on a patently unsound extradition order to be sent to a country where the justice system is even more dysfunctional and inhumane.
