“I’m Jason Arthur, co-founder of For our Future’s Sake.
If we ever needed anymore proof that Boris Johnson is a charlatan and a fraud, then look no further than his shoddy Brexit deal.
A deal that will damage our country; that will harm the young; the poor; the disadvantaged the hardest.
A deal that puts the unity of the UK at risk.
A deal that will still see us trapped in the Brexit nightmare for years to come.
Brexit isn’t a policy -
It’s an ideology. A hard-right philosophy in which the state is rolled back, workers rights are lost and environmental standards weakened.
So we join together today, young and old, from across the UK:
Because we know that this Deal doesn’t represent the “Will of the People”.
Because we know that democracy didn’t end in 2016.
Because we know that the only way to put an end to this Brexit chaos is through a People’s Vote.
But what we march for, campaign for, fight for, is so much greater than simply the right to have a final say on Brexit. We join together to fight for the soul of our country, and for its future.
A future in which facts matter.
A future in which truth matters.
A future in which you can’t simply shut down Parliament to get your own way.
A future in which immigrants aren’t scapegoated.
Where the views of millions of young people aren’t ignored.
A future in which our country moves forward, built on the foundations of tolerance, opportunity and social justice.
With the courage of our convictions and a message of hope, we can beat the politics of division and fear and win a People’s Vote.”
