Post Script:
Nick Park’s film “Early Man” (2018) is getting plenty of attention and I can’t wait to see it. So I looked for my earliest photograph of this director-animator which was taken when I was working with the Cardiff International Animation Festival in 1994, though a little bit later than the Stone Age, photographing the animation filmmakers involved. Many events were happening around buzzing Cardiff which were linked to the Animation Festival, including an Animation Exhibition at Cardiff Library, which included Nick Park’s Wallace & Gromit characters and sets. I was to photograph Park in this venue. At the time, many children were looking at the exhibition and many were coming up to Nick Park, requesting his signature and attention. With each and every child, Nick Park would spend quality time, drawing or signing, which was wonderful to see, so it took a while before we could take this picture.
