Sir Arthur Sullivan (1842 -1900) memorial, English composer, best known for his collaboration with dramatist W. S. Gilbert (1836–1911), as 'Gilbert and Sullivan'. The words on the side of the pedestal, say “Is life a boon? If so it must befall, that death whenever he call, must call too soon”. On the front of the stand is the muse of music in grief weeping as she leans against the pedestal that is holding the bust of Sullivan at its top. On the other side, sheet music, a mandolin and Pan mask lie at the foot of the sculpture’s base inscribed with W Goscombe John A.R.A. 1902. Victoria Embankment Gardens, London, UK
