ARIA is a British operatic feature film produced in 1987 by Don Boyd consisting of ten short film sections by ten highly creative film directors with strong individualistic visual styles: Robert Altman, Bruce Beresford, Bill Bryden, Jean-Luc Goddard, Derek Jarman, Franc Roddam, Nicolas Roeg, Ken Russell, Charles Sturridge and Julien Temple. Each segment features its own director's very different personal vision inspired by selected arias and scenes from operas. ARIA is being released as a special edition on DVD.
