A section of the front line including from left, Lindsey German, convenor of Stop the War Coalition (StWC) organisers of the demonstration, Kate Hudson CND, Jeremy Corbyn MP (in green jacket), Bianca Jagger being interviewed, and many more eminent demonstrators, at the biggest anti-war demonstration ever held in Britain. Also as it was a coordinated day of peace demonstrations across the world held in up to 60 countries expressing opposition to the imminent invasion of Iraq, it was also the largest protest event in human history. The peace campaigners anticipated the human suffering and problems that a war against Iraq would cause. However the British Government did not listen and under Prime minister Tony Blair taking instructions from President George Bush junior instigated the war anyway. Front Banner reads STOP THE WAR.
