I worked on a number of the same commercials as Claire Williams in London. When she moved to Los Angeles 1997 Claire tells me that I was one of first people to welcome her to LA, and she was so surprised to see me at the door when I came by! I had only been in LA a few months myself, the big difference is that Claire being more angelic has settled in the City of Angels, I only stayed three years, however highly interesting ones at that.

Some years later when I was back in LA, I visited Claire in her home in Highland Park, Northeast Los Angeles. The house a former hunting lodge build by General Patton's family is a beautiful quirky building by architect Ernest Freese on the steeply sloping side of a hill. The present day artists in the area including animation artists perhaps eco its early 20th century history because Highland Park with its neighbouring Pasadena became havens for artists who led the Arts and Crafts movement. The Arts & Crafts movement in the area was arguably anticipated in some respects by the earlier inhabitants before the European settlers by the Tongva tribe of Native Americans as demonstrated in their culture and crafts objects.
